Portraits I, a selection of portraits from the oval coffee house are images from Keith’s final photography crit for his D.E.C. in Creative Arts at John Abbott College. They represent a selection of what was a huge show of over 80 images. Over time, some prints where lost while others were given away to the portree’s, a few of the missing prints were scanned from the negatives but almost all are scanned from the original prints to maintain the look Keith was striving for only a few years ago (uh-huh). They were all printed on Ilford’s Ilfospeed RC Deluxe grade 3, (hence the contrast). The images were recorded with a Minolta SRT-201 on HP5 and developed in whatever developer was in the lab at the school at the time. At the time Keith was exploring using grain and questionable focusing practices. He passed the crit.
